He continues to be an active member of Kiwanis and currently serves on the board of directors for Paragould’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
Chris Dickinson,Financial Advisor
Chris is a fifth generation Greene County resident. He is the son of a retired state police captain who was, like Superman, known to be faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and possibly even able to leap tall buildings at a single bound. It’s been said by many admirers that his father can also change the course of mighty rivers, and bend steel in his bare hands. In spite of all his amazing attributes, he has always been kind to the downtrodden, and known to stand for truth, justice, and the American way. His father, not Chris, was also invited to join Mensa, due to his remarkable intelligence, but decided he just couldn’t “hang out with folks like that.” Chris’ dad attempted to pass on all his talents to his son, but not all of them stuck, unfortunately. Chris’ mom, the well-known real estate guru, is known far and wide for her charisma, charm, and business sense. Again, an attempt was made to pass these attributes to her son. Chris inherited her business sense, but came up a tad short in the other areas. Chris, unlike his parents, is somewhat meek and mild, but is known to be a pretty good person, but one who has big shoes to fill. He possesses average intelligence, and is a so-so businessman.
Chris and his wife, Stacey, live in Paragould, AR, largely in the shadow of Chris’ parents, and most other folks, for that matter. Stacey is a second grade teacher at Greene County Tech, and is smarter than Chris, and much better looking. Chris & Stacey have two very intelligent and good-looking sons (Reed & Ross) who attend GCT as well, although neither is a teacher; at least they’re not teaching anyone anything that their parents know about.
Chris’ primary job is to make big bucks out of little bucks, or mega bucks out of big bucks for his clients. He spends most of his days thinking of ways to manage and invest his own money, and at least a couple of hours doing the same for his client’s money in ways that benefit them, as well. He’s been in that business for almost twenty years, having owned his own office for the last eight. He began his career with a traditional brokerage firm in 2000, but knew that he could do much better. After eleven successful years of working in that segment and absorbing all the trade secrets he could, he was able to open his own office in 2011.
Chris received a mail order undergraduate degree in finance from “Degrees Are Us,” and did it all online at night, while watching football games on television. He received an online MBA, with an emphasis on Corporate Finance, from “MBA.com,” during the next football season. One might say his credentials are “cloud-based,” or maybe just a little cloudy. He also learned to dress for success by studying the “Muppets,” on Saturday morning TV.
